The Area
The location of the house is very convenient as it is “away from all the hustle and bustle but at the same time just a breath away from beaches, bars, restaurants and generally all amenities. The villa is only 1.5 km away from the main highway of the island thus offering quick and easy access to the whole island.
The popular resort of Georgioupolis with its river and the famous longest sandy beach in Crete (about 7-8 km) provides a vast variety of restaurants, a bank and ATM, supermarkets tourist offices, and doctors. The unique lake of Kournas is only 1.5 km away -walkable distance-where many tavernas offer the chance to explore the traditional Cretan cuisine and the visitors can also go around the lake, whose depth is still unknown, by paddle boats.
